I was looking for something to pick up on my way home for lunch yesterday, and as I made my way East on Union, I remembered the perfect place. I jumped over to Madison, continued East, and pulled into the last parking lot on the right before I got to Cleveland. Walked out of the car and into Southern Belle. Walked out 10 minutes later with an incredible lunch. Before I go into details of the meal, I want to layout what is probably every working person’s dream for lunch.
Quick + Inexpensive + Excellent = Dream Lunch
Everyone has a quick place near the office, and we all know a couple of inexpensive places, and I can count a number of excellent places as well. To knock back all three, now we are getting serious. Here’s what went down.
10 minutes + $8.16 +Excellence = Southern Belle Shrimp Quesadillas
Here it is. Shrimp quesadillas with mango salsa, basmati rice, turnip greens and a role. The ‘dilla was perfect, crisp, cheesy and full of shrimp. The salsa was what made the dish the best. It was fresh and delicious. The greens were rich and the rice was great. This was an awesome lunch, awesome price, and you know I’ll be back for more.
Just remember, when you head over there that they do 2 main dishes and a bunch of sides each day. So, if you want this, you should head over on Thursday, but I can easily recommend everything that I’ve had over there. See you there!
