Four years after a “soft” opening that was so successful that I had to take March 1, 2008 (the second day) off work to come work in the bakery, Muddy’s Bake Shop continues to grow in its success. So this is a little “Happy Birthday!” from me to K for all of her hard work over the last 4 years. She’s put together a wonderful team, and to them I can only say two things:
- There’s nowhere else and no group of people that I’d rather have K work with.
- I can’t imagine Memphis without Muddy’s.
What a success! And a big thanks to all of you eaters out there who continue to support K and her team. I hope that you all enjoy the big party they are throwing tonight! (click photo for details)

And I couldn’t have done this without you, T! For months, you were the sole caretaker of our dogs, our home, and me! You helped after-hours, you kept me sane through the rounds of exhaustion-crying, and you continue to be a huge source of inspiration, love, and wisdom. I love you!!!!!!
