PBLT – the “Thomas” sandwich

Today’s lunch. Bogie’s Deli BLT upgraded with some pimento cheese. K named this the “Thomas” sandwich, because almost everywhere I would go (Bogie’s, Young Ave, etc) I was asking them to custom make these for me. So, I am at least immortalized on one menu, while not Arnold Palmer or Shirley Temple yet, it could still happen…

Now you see them on more menus, because we’re in this fantastic time where both bacon and pimento cheese are having their own mini renaissances. Call me the OG Renaissance Man, because this has been one of my favorite sandwiches for year. I will give special props to Julep in Jackson, MS for serving me the first one I ever had!

Here you go. White toast, bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and pimento cheese.

the "Thomas" to me, no matter what they call it...

Give it a try and let me know what you think. See you there!

-Thomas

  1. I am a big fan of the Thomas at Muddies with a glass bottled coke. Great sandwich to b named after. I am sure Boogies has a good one too.
