I’m trying to play my part in making the local restaurant community a more environmentally friendly and sustainable one. As one person, I can only fight this fight one bite at a time (mixed metaphors, I know, my English teachers would be devastated), but each one adds up. Now my Christmas tree has a nice reminder of the fact that my efforts can add up with others to make a big difference.
Margot at Project Green Fork has done an awesome job of empowering a lot of people both inside and outside the restaurant business in Memphis. With er guidance, we are already doing a lot better, and we can continue to make strides towards a sustainable food community. Here are a couple more shots of this ornament in action.
The gnome likes it…
It gets along with our other ornaments…
And really, is there a more fitting ornament for my tree than a fork?
Want one for your own self? Head on over to the PGF store online or over to the Memphis Farmers Market on Saturday. Here’s why you should want one:
The Assisi Foundation granted PGF a Challenge Grant to purchase a recycling trailer. To raise the funding for the challenge, we’re selling recycled one-of-a-kind green forks that can be used for unique holiday ornaments, business card holder, or simply placed i…n your home/office as an reminder of your support.
Hope to see one on your tree!
