Oh me, oh pie!

January 23 is National Pie Day not National Pi (3.14whatever) Day.  National Pie Day was created in 1986 as a way to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Crisco.  While I don’t really want Crisco in my pies, today is a day to celebrate, bake, and more importantly eat pie.  I plan on celebrating and eating pies, but I will let Muddy’s Bake Shop take care of the baking for me.

In honor of NPD, I’ll share my three favorite pies:

1. Shady Wake pecan pie

2. Nancy's Boy coconut chess pie

3. Cocoa Chanel chocolate chess pie

So get out there and celebrate with some pie, pie, pie!
